How to write a research proposal

Course learning outcomes/abstract: effective research proposal writing is an essential skill for junior and senior scientists, not only to obtain funding but also to proactively identify and focus on scientific questions within their fields that may become significant in the coming years. This practical course will provide a brief introduction to the basics of grant writing. Most importantly, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and improve their current skills by preparing a concise research proposal on a topic of their choice.

Goals: participants not only will learn how the research funding framework in Italy and Europe is organised but also acquire solid skills to enhance their ability to successfully obtain early career researcher (ECR) funding in the near future.
